Quilts for Valiant Warriors

Just wanted to share what I spend this week doing. Local group “Joshua’s Hands” meets twice a year – January and July for a marathon of quilting for soldiers. They produce on average 90+ each time. Here are the two I made. The diamond shaped quilt has a crazy quilt star in the center. I paper pieced the the star. The center and log cabin sytle squares were two different UFO’s married together for this quilt.
My daughter decided to join in and her work allowed her several hours (1/2 days) to participate. This was her first sewing/quilting experience. Pictures of her quilt top will follow.
You may visit Joshua’s Hands at their website to see many of the quilt made this week.
